Debra Knox has performed extensively in The San Francisco Bay Area, at Slims, The Bill Graham Auditorium, University of Berkeley, The Bottom of the Hill, The Red Devil Lounge, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Oakland Art and Soul Festival, The Polk Street Festival, and on KFOX and KZSU radio. Touring NYC, LA, and Austin, TX at SXSW. Debra and members of her band have performed with and opened for Joe Satriani, Bonnie Rait, Herbie Hancock, The Go Gos, The Bangles, The Dickies, The Temptations, The Plazmatics. Three CDs have been recorded with Tom Size, who has credits with Aerosmith, Journey, & Todd Rundgren. And she is on the compilation CDS, Females on Fire, and Rising Stars of San Francisco Debra performed 3 sold out shows for thousands of people starring in The Vagina Monologues, and is working on the film Wheels with Neon Sky Films. She is a theatrical director, visual artist and writer. Her writing from her novel Once Upon A Bad Seed is published in a collection and she gave a reading in NYC at the release. Her art work is featured in SF rock clubs, as well as showing in local galleries and multi media art work The Black Heart and A Rose will be in 2009's addition MOMA Zine. Debra has performed in thousands of venues, and loves to mentor youth in the arts, encouraging them to fulfill thier dreams and to love themselves regardless of where they are at, and regardless of what anyone may say.
